About Trish and Russell's Culinary Journey

Cooking a great meal makes people smile leaving the cares of the world behind. Repeat customers become close friends. The personal fulfillment serving people happiness is second to none.

Trish Bauer worked in restaurants most of her life. Wearing many hats gave her the experience to run a restaurant. Her favorite hat was that of a chef cooking for the customers. Having a natural flare for creating fresh homemade dishes and making traditional foods more than delicious, made her a local legend. Everywhere she cooked at became a success. After years of working for others, Trish and her husband Russell, decided to open their own restaurant.

Living in Minneapolis during the 80's, they opened Patsy's 2400 Cafe. Needless to say it was a hit. After suffering too many Minnesota winters, they decided to move to Phoenix in the early 90's. Trish opened Patsy's Cafe on 38th Avenue.

It didn't take long to become a local favorite. After the success of Patsy's, they decided to open a second restaurant, Trisha's Li'l Cafe on Bell Road. It too became a local favorite.

There is a price for success, burning the candle at both ends. Prescott being Trish and Russell's favorite Arizona town, was a perfect place to open a new restaurant. The people are wonderful and the slower country pace was much needed. Only serving breakfast and lunch would allow them to enjoy personal time that was missing operating two restaurants that also included dinner.

The Sweet Potato Cafe was born. Of course it soon became a Prescott's favorite breakfast and lunch spot. After some years the thought of retirement became a reality after selling the restaurant to a friend and local chef. Spending more time with the family and taking several trips was a lifestyle of leisure. Trish and Russell being such hard workers all their lives, found themselves wanting to do more and that maybe retirement wasn't for them. So they called it an extended vacation and opened a new restaurant...again.

Cafe 10 brings together over 50 years of culinary experience focused on fresh, homemade dishes that everyone loves. Keeping it breakfast and lunch slows it down enough for more personal time. Serving great food and making people happy is what Trish and Russell enjoy the most and what they do best. Stop by and share their love for life and great food. You will be back adding Cafe 10 to one of the best parts of life in Prescott. See ya soon!
